Shakespeare's Birthday Celebrations Hads are involved in the Shakespeare Birthday Celebrations in Stratford on Saturday April 26th. We will be performing at various places on the day, so why not come down and enjoy the atmosphere. The day starts with a short production of 2 pieces from "The Shakespeare Review" which will be presented in the open air in Bridge Street at 10am. This will be repeated, in rotation with other local amateur dramatic groups, between 10 and 11 am. Then, between 1 and 2 pm, there will be a further performance at the Holy Trinity Church and finally in the Great Garden between 2.30 and 3.30 pm. The 10-15 minute 'playlet' is a spoof based on the death of Sir Falstaff and Hamlet! It is directed by Eunice Bagshaw and also involves Carol Robson, Shena Ison, Tracy Humphreys, Phil Walker, Rod Hinton, Alan Harrison and Alan Nicholls.

Pack of Lies Pack
of Lies finished its run on Saturday 29th, to critical acclaim. It was an extremely good production and the cast are to be congratulated on their performances.
In particular, Ray Evans (Bob Jackson), Rosie Hammond (Barbara Jackson) and
Rob Ison (Mr Stewart) all had very large parts with large amounts of dialogue, and
some
difficult chracterisations to do. All three handled the task with enthusiasm
and excelled in the roles. The feedback has been excellent, with comments including 'The best play I have seen HADS do', 'I was engrossed from start to finish'. Well done to all involved, either on or off stage. |
